Developmental Psychology Across Cultures S. Scrimin
This course aims to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the main psychological theories on human development as well as the changes that occur in behaviors and psychological functions from birth to young adulthood. The course will focus on development from different perspectives, including motor, perceptual, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects. Furthermore, cross- cultural contributions to development will be examined. At the end of the course, students should be able to express knowledge about basic developmental psychology theories, methods, and processes underlying change across the stages of human development using critical perspectives. Moreover, they should be able to understand and apply key concepts in developmental psychology within the areas of perceptual, motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
