Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the provision and use of the information, services and materials (online content) delivered on the Federica.EU website (platform) either by you visiting and browsing the Website (hereinafter a “Visitor”), or registering for the services on Federica.EU (hereinafter a “User”).

These Terms and conditions of use should be read alongside, and are in addition to, our privacy policy (Privacy Policy).

Please read the Terms and Conditions described here carefully. By accessing the Website (by any means or device) and using its online content, you agree that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy in full (each can be amended from time to time), whether you are a Visitor or a User. If you have any questions regarding these Terms and Conditions you can contact our office at the address indicated in this document.

Federica Web Learning reserves the right to modify or change the Terms and Conditions of Use and its Privacy Policy at its own discretion and at any time. Any change or modification to the Terms and Conditions of Use and/or the Privacy Policy will take immediate effect after they have been published on federica.eu. In all cases, continued use of the Platform and its online content after any such modifications have been published, with or without notification, implies full acceptance of the modified Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy.

  1. USER REGISTRATION  

Any Visitor can view the federica.eu Website, but in order to participate fully in all the activities on the platform, take part in courses and use the online content, you have to register for a personal account on the Website, providing at least your real name, surname, date of birth, an email address and a password. Although it is optional, Users may also choose to give other information, for research purposes, including: gender, nationality, education and qualifications, profession, sector, how you found out about Federica.

Users agree not to share or give access to their user account with any third party for any reason.

In setting up your User Account, you may be asked to provide additional information, for example, your gender, date of birth, nationality, profession, sector, how you found out about Federica.

You guarantee that all the information you gave to register on the platform is correct and complete, and you commit to making sure this information is always up to date and complete.  

You acknowledge that if any information provided by you in relation to your User Account is misleading, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, federica.eu reserves the right to block, suspend or terminate your access to the platform.

Protection of this data is guaranteed by our Privacy Policy which is available on the federica.eu website.

Registration on the platform and participation in the online courses is restricted to adults / over-eighteens.

Anyone under the age of 18, or legally classed as a minor in their country of origin, is not permitted to register on the platform without the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. USER CONDUCT 

By registering with federica.eu for an account, Users agree (in addition to the conditions set out in the section “User Registration”):

  • That they will register on the Website only once and will not set up multiple User accounts;
  • That they will be the only person to use their User account;
  • Not to do anything to interfere with, damage, or block access to the platform, or the server and networks connected to it;
  • Not to publish or sell the Federica.eu online content;
  • Not to utilise the Federica.eu online content to create derivative works and/or works for commercial purposes;
  • Not to view the website within the frame of another website.
  1. DISCLAIMER ON WEBSITE CONTENT

This website is the property of the University of Naples Federico II and it is managed by the University through its own University Centre for Innovation, Experimentation and Diffusion of Multimedia Learning, Federica Web Learning.

For research and academic purposes, and to improve the learning experience, the learning content and materials may be changed or updated.

The University of Naples Federico II reserves the right, with full discretion within the limits of the law, to modify, suspend or cancel, freely and without warning, totally or in part, the content on its website, as well as the right to correct any errors or omissions on the website without prior warning.

The University of Naples Federico II has no responsibility to the User should the service be interrupted or stopped. Federica.eu may contain links to other sites. Federica.eu does not have any control over these sites and does not endorse or take responsibility for their content or privacy policy.

The University of Naples, Federico II, as part of its institutional activity, publishes learning content offered by its teachers on federica.eu to provide a service for users. This content represents the opinion of the individual teacher and cannot be attributed to the University of Naples Federico II.

Should Users disagree with the content on federica.eu, or find it offensive in any way, they can choose to stop using the site.

  1. LEARNER CONTENT 

The website enables Users to organise their notes or content in the section “You”.

Federica Web Learning does not have ownership of any original content created by the User within the “You” section. For this reason, the User is the sole and exclusive owner of the copyright, titles and interests relating to the content in the personal “You” section. The only exception is content which has been taken from federica.eu and is therefore the intellectual property of the University of Naples Federico II, and is governed by the paragraphs  “Licence of Use” and “Copyright Policy”.

  1. USE OF LEARNER INFORMATION

Federica Web Learning will analyse levels of learner participation in each course, through access data and learner surveys, in order to improve the online learning  experience. Federica Web Learning collects this information for cademic and research purposes, to understand the learning experience, how much progress is made, and to improve the offer in line with learner preferences.

By using federica.eu, learners accept that their information will be collected and used in line with the indications herein and in our “Privacy Policy” which is available on the federica.eu website.

Federica Web Learning commits to secure storage for any data that allows for identification of their users safely. We will not sell, or give to third parties, any data that identifies individual users. We will not publicise user emails or any other personal data, nor will we share them with any third parties outside the University of Naples Federica II except where explicitly required to by law

COMUNICATIONS 

Federica Web Learning can use learner email addresses to contact them with newsletters, to send information about updates to online courses or other information of interest to the learner.

By registering on the federica.eu website, Users authorise processing of their data to receive communications from federica.eu. If the User requests it, we will immediately remove their email address and personal data from our files.   1. LICENSE TO USE
    The material published on this website is the property of the University of Naples Federico II. All rights are reserved.

The federica.eu website and all its contents are protected under Italian law, especially the Act of  22 April 1941 no. 633 and subsequent integrations, which details copyright protection and related rights, and they are, except where stated to the contrary, owned exclusively by the University of Naples Federico II. For this reason unauthorised reproduction and/or distribution of the content, even partial, is not permitted.

Requests for authorisation to publicise content may be addressed to the followinginfo@federica.eu

Partial citations are allowed for sharing or reviews as long as they state the author’s name, the source “federica.eu” and the domain name www.federica.eu. Downloading or printing of the contenti s not allowed unless it is specifically authorised as part of the user service.

Reproduction, publication and/or use of the website’s online content to create derivative works and/or for commercial purposes is not allowed.

It is not permitted to Frame the site, part of it and/or its content, nor is it permitted to associate federica.eu with your own publicity or identity, or request payment for connection to the services offered by federica.eu. It is not permitted to link to federica.eu and pages within the platform from any website or webpage containing defamatory, obscene or criminal content,  or content that violates, or supports violation of, third party rights.

All rights of the author and intellectual property rights relating to the configuration, content and organisation of the website belong exclusively to the owner and therefore to the University of Naples Federico II.

Use of the logo, graphic elements or distinctive signs from the website is not permitted unless you have written authorisation to do so.
